Not everyone can retire like the Golden Girls, living in a warm-weather climate with a group of sarcastic and sassy friends.For some, staying close to family and friends is the most cost-effective and pleasant option.
However, if relocating is an option, each USFor senior living, each city has its own set of advantages and disadvantages.
WalletHub, a personal finance website, recently compared the retiree-friendliness of more than 180 U.S. cities.Scities based on 46 criteria, and then assigned each one a score out of 100.
The study looked at factors such as affordability, quality of life, and health care, as well as how each city’s health infrastructure would handle a coronavirus outbreak.
To no one’s surprise, Florida cities did well, but one of the country’s most famous cold-weather cities took the top spot.Another famously snowy zone landed at No. 8 and another famously snowy zone landed at No. 10Here’s a list of the top-ranked cities.

Denver, Colorado’s ski-haven, may not be the first city that comes to mind when you think of retirees, but it easily beat out warmer cities like Tempe, Arizona, and Las Vegas to claim the top spot.tenth place
The Mile High City, which scored highly when WalletHub looked at recreational offerings such as golf courses, fishing facilities, music venues, and museums, has plenty to offer active retirees.
Denver’s appeal is fairly consistent, like most places in the top ten for 2021 – it ranked at No.WalletHub’s 2021 list of the best cities for retirees ranks it at #6.

Consider Jackson, Mississippi’s capital city, for a warmer climate than Denver. Jackson didn’t make WalletHub’s top 10 list in 2021.
